Glasses Up To Love and Havoc

Posted on January 29, 2012

A little “coming soon” update… The “Super Bowl visitors visit NWI” is almost ready (Christ…Wednesday later in the night). Also…a Q & A with Liffey. Something called “The Touch.” I got the idea from a recent viewing of “50/50.” It’s gonna be a little romanticky…so be prepared. Odd Oscars thoughts

Liffey’s odd thoughts on the Oscar nominations… Glenn Close (“Albert Nobbs”) and Meryl Streep (“The Iron Lady”) are both nominated for playing men. He could have been nominated in the same category for “The Thin Red Line.” Supporting Actress: Another nod…

I know a mark was made in Gone Baby Gone before I was bulldozed by her in Trucker. Those are among my top five films from this beautiful and talented actress of Irish and German descent. In no particular order Trucker 2008 – I’ve seen a lot of 18-wheelers on the road, but I’ve never seen any of them driven by a gal like this. Michelle’s character in this gritty flick drives, drinks and sexes. And what more is there, really? I haven’t seen an actress look that good in a wife-beater since Sarah Michelle Gellar in “Buffy.”…
