Let’s play The Belle Game

Pitchfork named The Belle Game’s song “River” as Best New Track. Another song, “Tradition” – was featured in the season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy. Both tracks are from the Vancouver-based band’s debut album, Ritual Tradition Habit. The Belle Game embarks on its first full American tour this month that includes a stop at Chicago’s Empty Bottle Nov. 1. The Belle Game is Andrea Lo (lead vocals), Adam Nanji (vocals and guitar), Katrina Jones (keyboards and backing vocals), Alex Andrew (rhythm guitar), and Rob Chursinoff (drums). Prior to their new album the band released two EPs – Inventing Letters (2009) and Sleep to Grow (2011). Ariel Tweto became America’s Sweetheart with the popularity of Discovery Channel’s Flying Wild Alaska.  If you didn’t fall in love with her then, maybe it was during her week-long appearance in Scotland last year with The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson that co-starred Mila Kunis, Rashida Jones, and David Sedaris. Ariel’s been on Craig’s show probably more than any other guest. He likes her. So do we. Ariel recently talked with The Dodgy while hanging out near her North Hollywood home. Meet Laura Harrison

Actress Laura Harrison is a Chicago stage veteran and Northwestern graduate. You might have seen her in Syfy’s Jersey Shore Shark Attack or the Showtime series finale of Weeds. She recently talked to The Dodgy from her LA home about those experiences along with current/future projects, how Chicago and LA men differ, who she looks like, beer, and music. What was it like to appear on the series finale of Weeds?
