A Wild Beaver, Pizza and Pints in Indianapolis

Posted on October 4, 2011

Indianapolis…about a 2-hour plus drive from NWI. We did it. Wanted to check out the little city. We stayed downtown but spent a lot of time in Broad Ripple. Most everyone around here knows of it. It’s a very cool village south of downtown with interesting bars, restaurants, food markets and some pretty people. Has a bit of a college town crossed with Lincoln Park (Chicago) vibe. Pumpkin Ale

Posted on September 21, 2011

Pumpkin Pie in a glass…it tastes just as it’s advertised. It’s that time of year again. The Pumpkin Ale beers are out. This is from Crown Brewing in Crown Point.  Look forward to the ones at Whiting’s Oktoberfest Oct. 8. I’m sure this will be available at Crown Point’s Oktoberfest, which is also Oct. 8. We still wish they weren’t on the same night, but plan to hit both and take some beautiful pics (better than this).
