Caught the Crawpuppies in action again at the Greek Fest in Merrillville Friday night. I wasn’t there for the entire set but from what I experienced it was much more enjoyable than the Jacyee appearance a week ago. Covers I heard included songs by the Eagles, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Cheap Trick, Billy Idol and U2.

But by far and away my favorite song of the night was their own, original “The Way.”

Other than a strange man in track pants and a fanny pack dancing near the stage it was a fine set.

Beer selection: $3 gets you a 16-ounce Miller Lite. Or a Greek Import beer. They also had wine. Greek food abundant.

I wasn’t rejected by any Greek gals…but then I didn’t go home with any either.
